I began Moaglea in 2005, to fill an absent niche of simple, stylish, affordable stationery. In 2014 I quit my job (a robot in the City), joined @notonthehighstreet, and began party planning to the stars (you) full time, and I haven’t looked back since.
Over the years I have learned techniques and tricks to plan a party, and enjoy it at the same time. I really believe the key to an enjoyed party (yes, by you, the host, as well as your partygoers!), is to keep things simple, don’t take on too much, and to delegate!
Decades of party planning has given me bundles of knowledge to successfully create calm and organised gatherings. I know only too well, how those last frantic final hours leading up to the party can put a real chaotic spin on things.
Welcome to my world of s l o w celebrations — Stick with me for all the tips and tricks to tasteful, considered, enjoyable and slow partying, that even the host enjoys.
As a little girl
I was always arty and crafty; I loved making and baking anything and everything that was fun and fancy. I loved working with paper — the versatility, the blankness, and simplicity of it.
As one-of-six children, there was always an excuse to party. I would spend days around the dining room table crafting, and hours in the kitchen baking; getting absolutely lost in those moments of planning and prepping for those little gatherings. I knew this is what I wanted to do for a living.
Putting Pen To Paper
I quickly realised that putting a real life party together was hard work. Those final hours in the lead up were hectic. Chaotic. I'd taken on too much, and it would taint everything I loved, with what I loved.
I created Moaglea with complete simplicity in mind. To buy better, buy less and to make better choices, so that you too can enjoy your special celebrations with your loved ones — in a slow, relaxed and calm environment. I created a considered collection of stationery that I wanted at my wedding or party.
